It's not just the cake...
Since this must be CAKE APPRECIATION WEEK on the Crafty Bonnet we can't forget one of my all time favorite cakes, the monkey cake!
Isn't he adorable? Oh yes and my boy is too of course. Those are ding-dongs I used for the ears.
My sons birthday is right after Halloween and just before this particular birthday my husband lamented that this child's birthday would always get neglected because of it's closeness to Halloween.
I took that as a challenged and worked like crazy to make sure he wasn't neglected at all!
And I'm not totally crazy, as you can see I let Subway do the cooking.
I did a lot of stamping and paper cutting, I had these awesome monkey stamps that I stamped on balloons and then blew them up.
I am most proud of this party I think because of all the homemade decorations (I used a lot of construction paper)
